After my 2 weeks in Kuala Lumpur (KL) where I worked on my Streets of Kuala Lumpur Photo Series, I traveled to the Philippines together with my girlfriend to see her family. Of course I knew the Philippines for the famous beaches and yes, I did visit one. However, I had never been to the Philippines before and was very curious what the country has to offer besides sun, sea and sand. Although I tried not to bring my camera everywhere as I marked this week in my agenda as my week off as I was quite tired after KL, I could’t always resist to take my camera with me. I was extremely happy that I fell for this temptation when we hiked up the Taal volcano. While we were struggling to get up the mountain we saw some kids going down to bring the horses at the foot of the volcano. This already amazed me but I was flabbergasted when I heard their age, 8 and 4. When I was 4 I could barely walk let alone guide two horses down from a mountain.
